HMIS
ABOUT HMIS
It is a multi lingual, multi hospital and a fully integrated solution that assists hospitals in the management of medical services effectively, increases hospital operation efficiency and improves patient care.

HMIS SYSTEM HIGHLIGHTS
Flexibility
The application contains intelligent modules to assist any hospital in setting up the system suited for its business needs. Moreover HMIS Enterprise version brings powerful tools to help the end user in customizing existing forms or adding new forms with different formats and still maintaining consistency and integration with HMIS database.
Multi-language system
DMS/HMIS provides a multi-lingual environment where each user can define his own interface, error messages, help, as well as the documentation language besides the ability to toggle between his preferred language and the hospital defined language.
Internet -Intranet Solution
DMS/HMIS is designed to serve all types of interactions with the system easily and comfortably either from the hospital or from home. Any person can request an appointment in an outpatient clinic or a future reservation of a certain operation with a specific doctor.
Compliance with the latest international health standards

Many hospitals can share some features of the same package like sharing medical records as the system will maintain the patient’s identification number to integrate Medical Records; Keeping the setup and the financial data of each hospital’s own package. Up to 99 hospitals could operate under a single license using a single server.
Graphical User Interface
Easy way to use graphical user interface (GUI) that allows you to navigate throughout the system, either through pull-down menu options or buttons bar.
Standard User Interface
DMS interface designers did their best to standardize the user interface in a way that allows new users, or users of new modules to get accustomed to the interface, icons and components of the screens in a short time and with the minimum requirements of training and follow up.
Interfacing with Medical Equipment
HMIS is equipped with a medical equipment interface layer to receive the test orders and pass it onto the testing machine and store results in the defined medical sheet such as Ultrasound Imaging, CT scanners, X-rays, etc.. This will eliminate human error, enhance control and minimize delays.
9- Multi-level security
HMIS covers three areas of security o Preventing unauthorized users from using the system on 5 different levels Application, Workstation level, Module level, Function, Feature level. o Classification of data sensitivity. o Audit trail, as the system records all actions performed in the system by date and time stamps as well as updates those performed on records and the user.
User’s Guide and On-line Help
HMIS is accompanied by a user guide taking you step by step through the whole module, explaining its functions along with their related screens and how to deal with every single field; the user guide is submitted in PDF files connected to the system or On-line context help.
Improving Quality
HMIS provides the hospital management by means of Indicators and measurement tools so that the responsible persons could identify problems and perform required corrective actions such as; all alerts needed, dynamic clinical decision support, dynamic control charts, top quality physician notes.

Paperless environment with use of an expert system, alerts and messaging improve the inter-hospital communication and the overall hospital efficiency.
Supporting Research
HMIS EMR structure helps researchers retrieve all patients EMR'S looking for inter-relations using HMIS and data mining tools. It also provides researchers the ability to dynamically create queries supporting unlimited combinations of demographic data, clinical data, drugs, results, diagnoses, procedures and any user defined codes.
Bed Control
It enables managing and controlling the utilization of beds through a group of browsing functions to check whether beds or rooms are occupied or unoccupied. Through this program the user can access other modules.
Implementing New Technology
HMIS implements all attractive elements of new technologies to enable the user to enjoy the beauty of the system such as Text to speech, Voice recognition, PDA, RFID, Smart Card and mobile interfaces.
Doctors with Clinical Management Tools
The clinical management tools enable doctors to build the patient EMR using different methods representing the patient’s case; covering more than 30 specialties designed by specialized doctors, it also contains a library of diseases symptoms, a library of images.
