IDMS CAPACITY AND PLANNING

Through Planning and Capacity Module, you can define the calendar on the level of the company or the work center, define a different order policy for the whole organization, generate a plan for a limited and unlimited period, security level on changing the planning parameters, and select a certain item to generate the plan. You can change the definition of calendar, work center and item in a simulation environment and generate a plan.

FUNCTIONALITY

Customer Order
A function where customer orders of finished products, quantities, and delivery date are recorded for every customer. Forecasting is designed to register the plan for items expected to be produced during a specific period.
Master Production Schedule (MPS)
is used to calculate the net requirements (calculated by subtracting gross requirements from the total of stock and scheduled receipts, and apply the order policy.
Rough Cut Capacity Planning
Calculates the load for critical work center only, uses bill of resource to take the required hours (hours/unit x order quantity) to produce the item according to capacity loading code for the work center and the number of offset days.

Bill Of Resource
Provides a statement of the critical work center hours required to produce one unit of master scheduled item. Bill of Resource is used in Rough Cut Capacity Planning to calculate the planned workload.
MRP function
Uses the MPS items to calculate the required quantity of all materials, using bill of material definition and checks if it is available in the warehouses and generate planned purchased requisition for unavailable materials.
Capacity Requirements Planning
Calculates the load of all work centers and all items using defined routing method definition, Includes Backward Scheduling and Forward Scheduling. This function uses shop calendar for working days, weekends, number of shifts, hours per shift and load percentage.
